Ramey and his client EscapeX IP asked the Supreme Court to overturn the Federal Circuit\u2019s decision. They claimed the court used an \u201cobjective recklessness\u201d standard instead of a \u201csubjective bad faith\u201d test for sanctions.<\/p>\n

EscapeX filed suit in 2022, alleging that YouTube Music infringed its patent related to video playlists.<\/p>\n
